When I saw this photo I thought about where he was from. In all of the pictures the room reflected the person and where they lived and what type of life they led so far. In this picture he is holding an ax showing that he has to work hard to survive and his small room with two beds shows that he lives in a crowded place where there is little room for a lot of people. When I saw the other photos I noticed that all but one of them are smiling. It seems to me that by seeing there room some of them have a lot more reason to smile then the others. He is one of the people who has a reason to be sad but he isn't crying to showing that he is in great pain. The room sometimes shows how hard it is for some people and how strong it makes them.
I also think that this boy has to work for a living. I like how you said that he was strong, and that he has a reason to be sad, but he is kind of hiding it.
ReplyDeleteGreat Job!
I really liked this photo because it just looks so different from a normal lifestyle here in Bucks and it opens your eyes to the struggles of fellow human beings. It was also interesting see because you can imagine yourself in that situation and that makes you think about how lucky you are to be able to have food and water at home which you can use freely, while some people have to put themselves into a lot of danger just to have a meal.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that this young boy has to work so hard but still live in a place that is so small. It makes you realize how lucky you are to have a house that has actual windows, air conditioning, and heating.
ReplyDeleteThis boy obviously works hard for a living and barely gets by. I also agree that he must be sad but he is strong because he is hiding it. It probably isn't healthy for a childhood to be so hard. I also see that he lives with many other people and you did a great job noticing these things.
ReplyDeleteim glad that isn't me.... good describing though.
