I chose this picture because when I saw this house I saw that it was run down and old. Then i read the notes about the picture and they said that this was a picture of an ex-slaves house. It made me think about the way that they were treated and they still are in a bad environment. I think about how they were treated like animals and now they are living in a old shack like animals. In the picture there is an old house with a person walking up to it with long grass and a dirt path. This tells me that the location of this house is in a bad area and that the person has no way to make it better so it keeps getting worse.
